A childcare provider in Greater Manchester is seeking a Nursery Cook to prepare meals for approximately 40 children a day. The ideal candidate will have formal catering experience in a nursery, school, or care home, and must adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Nursery Cook required to cater for young children in a medium sized early years setting cooking for approximately 40 children a day.

MUST HAVE FORMAL CATERING EXPERIENCE WITHIN A NURSERY, SCHOOL OR CARE HOME

What you need for the Nursery Cook role in Chorlton :
  • Level 2 or above Food & Hygiene or equivalent.
  • Experience of catering in either a Nursery, School, or Care Home
  • A love of children

  • A caring and kind personality – warm towards the children
  • Strong adherence to allergens and allergen awareness
  • Strict attitude to food safety, food hygiene and cleanliness
What is involved :
  • Preparing and catering lunch for approx 40 children daily.
  • Responsible for stock levels, budget control and ordering of stock.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of kitchen at all time.
  • Cleaning duties of certain other areas to include a foyer / corridor and toilets.
  • Following guidelines with regards to catering for children.
