Nursery Assistant – Flexible supply opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You’ll be supporting nurseries and primary schools in Exeter and the surrounding areas, working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Duties as Nursery Assistant:
  • Support the class teacher and nursery staff in delivering engaging activities
  • Assist with the care and supervision of children aged 0–5 years
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Encourage positive social and emotional development
  • Support children with personal care needs where required
  • Monitor and record observations of children’s progress and share with staff
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
