Reach & Respond Responder

We are looking for a dedicated responder to join our incredible team covering maternity leave. This shift‑based role is part of the 24/7 Reach & Respond service, supporting nearly 9,000 vulnerable people to live independently and safely in their own homes. If you are passionate about helping others and want to be part of a supportive, dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Providing emergency response visits, for example assisting a customer in the event of a fall at home, or providing support and reassurance to customers if they are unwell or in need of assistance.
  • Installing and maintaining a range of assistive technology equipment and undertaking repair activity.
  • Collecting and maintaining accurate customer information to support a person‑centred, quality service.
  • Contributing to promotional activities.
  • Providing information and advice to customers.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations, building strong relationships across the service area.
  • Using own initiative and a high degree of flexibility.
  • Being computer‑literate.
  • Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract & Schedule

This is a fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave, offering 33.6 standard hours per week. Shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis, covering Monday to Sunday across a 24‑hour service.
