Main purpose of job

The main role of the job is to perform tasks supporting radioactive waste projects in support of business needs. The job includes but is not limited to:

• Performing Waste Plant Operations
• Waste Movements
• Housekeeping

Duties/Responsibilities

• Waste Plant Operations: Carry out processing operations for numerous process plant applications including super-compaction, size reduction, sort and segregation.
• Waste Movements: Trained in forklift truck, crane driving and slinging operations, with importance placed on the waste moves, following waste loading instructions and in collaboration with the Appointed Person Lifting (APL).
• Housekeeping: Ensure all operational work areas are kept clean and tidy to the standards required of a Nuclear Licensed Site. Ensure that on completion of daily tasks that work areas are left safe, secure and tidy.
