Research Nurse Haematology Cancer Trials

Fixed term 11 month

Band 5/ 6 depending on Nursing experience

The clinical research portfolio within NHS Grampian is continuing to expand, we are looking for a nursing professional to be part of an exciting and challenging research post, which will be based in the Haematology Research department within ARI. This post could be suitable as a secondment.

We are looking to recruit an innovative and enthusiastic registered nurse with experience in clinical research. Previous experience within clinical research or haematology would be advantageous. Without the required experience, this post would be offered as a band 5.

You will be involved in the delivery of direct care and treatments of those participating in haematology research trials. This will include trial set up processes, recruitment, monitoring of study patients, collection of accurate data and liaising with data monitors. The main duties/responsibilities of the post will be in under the direction of the Haematologists with additional guidance from the research team and Senior Research nurse. You will be part of an established team of research nurses and data managers.

The incumbent will require excellent communication skills, the ability to work flexibly in response to study challenges and be able to manage a caseload appropriate to the highest standard expected within clinical research.
