Job summary

An international organization focused on advocacy is seeking participants for its part-time, unpaid remote Nonprofit Leadership Programme. The program requires 12 hours per week over 12 weeks, allowing flexible completion. Participants will develop skills in advocacy, fundraising, recruitment, and marketing while representing the organization in their communities. Overview

With 20 years of experience in the advocacy space, The Borgen Project has worked to support the passage of numerous bills that have benefitted close to 500 million people in developing countries.

Nonprofit Leadership Programme

This is a part‑time 12‑hour per week, 12‑week, unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Advocacy Leadership Development – Meet members of Government in your District / Constituency; represent The Borgen Project at events; mobilise individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty‑reduction legislation.
  • Fundraising Development – Learn how to fundraise. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
  • Recruitment – Update job postings; inform groups and classes of openings, introduction to recruitment platforms and listen in to interviews.
  • Marketing and Promotion – Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media and utilise social media and develop strategies for web‑based messaging.
Experience

No prior experience is necessary. We’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPAs or background.
