Overview

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: Please note that in order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to be eligible for SC (Secret Level) UK Security Clearance. Both the role and client site have ITAR nationality restrictions.

Morson are recruiting for a NIGHTSHIFT position on behalf of a leading defence equipment manufacturer based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a contract role, although highly likely to be long-term. Candidates MUST have prior experience soldering under a microscope to be considered.

Rates: £24.78 per hour Umbrella or £18.46 per hour (holiday pay on top of hourly rate). Rates rise after 12 weeks to £26.12 per hour Umbrella or £19.46 per hour PAYE.

Monday - Thursday night shift hours are 9pm to 6:30am.

Responsibilities
  • Soldering under a microscope
  • Carry out detailed standard assembly/manufacturing activities, undertaking all work to requisite procedures, quality standards, safety requirements and timescales
  • Contribute to the efficient movement of work and information in the manufacturing area
  • Adhere in all activities to agreed standards and behaviours
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Previous Microelectronics experience ESSENTIAL
  • Prior Soldering under a microscope experience ESSENTIAL
  • Dexterity for fine work
  • Read and interpret layouts
  • IPC 610 certified / trained preferred
  • Follow instructions
  • Attention to detail
  • Work on own with minimal supervision
  • PC literate
Additional Notes

As a general operator, you may be tasked to work across a number of departments which might include: Micro Electronics, Looming, PEC Assembly, Plastics Department, Manufacturing Control/Stores.
