Qualifications

  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including mental health conditions, autism.
  • Passion for enhancing quality of life and a genuine caring attitude.

Overview

We\'re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you\'ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. Our Support Living service is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same. You\'ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone\'s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

Responsibilities
  • Help people gain more independence in daily living and learn new life skills
  • Assist with personal care

  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals (e.g., cooking dinner, planning a trip)
  • Work within a dynamic team to support a group of people in our Support Living service
Qualifications and qualities
  • Right experience and values: resilient, flexible and composed in approach
  • Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma
  • You do not need to have prior experience to be a fantastic Support Worker if you have a passion for enhancing quality of life and a genuine caring attitude

Pay and hours

Pay Rate: £12.84 per hour (including night enhancement). Shifts are 21:00 – 7:30 on a rota, Monday to Sunday.
