Overview

Night Support Worker role at The Trees Short Breaks, Hinckley, Leicestershire County Council. Fixed location; permanent contract with 33.25 hours per week. 21:00–08:00 night shifts over a 7-day pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. Salary £25,995–£26,409 per annum (pro rata for part time) (£13.46–£13.68 per hour).

Location: The Trees Short Breaks, Deveron Way, Hinckley LE10 0XD.

Working Pattern: 21:00–08:00, 7 days a week; flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays.

About the Role

We are looking for people to deliver high-quality night-time care and support to adults with learning differences in our Short Breaks unit. You will provide night support, assist with personal care, promote choice and control, and maximise independence. Previous care experience is not required; we welcome applicants who share our values and are committed to celebrating individuality and diversity. Training will be provided in work time, with mentoring and support from the team.

You will work in line with Leicestershire County Council's Employee Code of Conduct and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers. Training costs and the DBS enhanced check (Adults Barred List) required for this post will be covered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver night-time care and support to adults with learning differences in the Short Breaks unit.

• Provide assistance with personal care while promoting independence and choice.

• Maintain accurate, clear records; support moving and handling using available equipment as required.

• Contribute to a 24/7 service, responding to changing needs and working flexibly within the rota.
