A well-known manufacturer in Manchester is seeking a Night Shift Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on proactive maintenance and engineering, ensuring production levels are met. Ideal candidates will have a recognised engineering apprenticeship and experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance. These positions offer the opportunity for stable night shifts and involvement in engineering projects.

Overview

A well-known manufacturer is looking to add to their Night Shift engineering team and are ready to recruit now. This is a great opportunity for a maintenance engineer who prefers the consistent night shift over a rotating shift pattern.

On the night shift, you will have the opportunity to focus on proactive and planned maintenance and engineering whilst also ensuring production levels are maintained.

Responsibilities for the Night Shift Engineer
  • Proactive maintenance and site PMs
  • Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
  • Working across both electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance
  • Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
  • Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
  • Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site
Requirements for the Night Shift Engineer
  • Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
  • Experience working in a Multi skilled role across mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
