Night Dispatch Supervisor

Menzies Distribution Solution has an excellent opportunity for a Night Dispatch Supervisor to join our team based in Knowsley. You will play an integral part in the efficient delivery of our night shift operations, working closely with the Operations Manager to create a customer-centric environment and ensure the efficiency of our operations where no two days often provide the same challenge.

THE DETAILS:

  • Shift Pattern: 4 On/ 4 Off Nights
  • Location:Knowsley L34 9HN
  • Salary:£30,000 Per Annum, £13.73 Per Hour
  • Hours: 19:00-07:00
  • Parking Onsite
  • Monthly Pay

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure the site is managed safely, efficiently and is compliant with all legal requirements
  • Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improved productivity
  • Provide ‘hand over report’ to oncoming Shift Manager
  • Ensure inductions are carried out for all new staff
  • Provide training to all staff and contractors to ensure they are able to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely
  • Define and agree goals (KPI’s), timelines and performance with your team
  • Review team performance against agreed goals (KPI’s) through regular 1:1’s, identifying training needs and required support
  • Liaise with New Business Partners to develop and integrate new business opportunities
  • Driver pre and de brief
  • Ensuring compliance is maintained throughout the sites in relation to drivers and fleet
  • Updating our TMS daily in order to track and manage our routes

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience within a Distribution or Logistics position
  • A full and valid UK driving Licence
  • Experience of delivering expanding operational KPI’s.
  • A practical approach to prioritisation of daily tasks and keeping a cool head under pressure
  • A Common-sense approach to problem-solving
  • Computer literate and able to switch from computer to computer
  • Prioritise and managing tasks in a pressurised environment
