Job description
Overview

This position is an integral part of the service and will ensure the smooth running of the NHS Talking Therapies contract. This is done by providing an effective and efficient administrative service for NHS patients, referring GPs, healthcare professionals and ICB contacts. The role is varied and covers a range of administrative responsibilities that support the day to day operations of the service, as well as contributing to its ongoing development.

Hybrid role

This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2 days in the office in Loughborough, Leicestershire and 3 days from home. During induction or training (3-4 weeks), the successful candidate will be expected to come into the office everyday.

Job responsibilities
  • Answer incoming and make outbound calls in a professional manner within agreed KPIs.
  • Process referrals within targeted timeframe.
  • Update patient information within the record system, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Monitor and action treatment waitlists.
  • Monitor and respond to enquiries via email.
  • Check and process letters to patients, GPs and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure patients are communicated with at the earliest opportunity for any changes to appointments including cancellations and reschedules.
  • Provide general administration and any other ad hoc duties to contribute to the smooth running of the service.

You should have good experience of dealing with the public and be a confident communicator both on the telephone and over email. You will possess excellent attention to detail, be quick to learn new systems and be eager to develop your career as part of a close knit team in a flexible and supportive environment.
