Job summary

A leading digital services provider seeks a Service Designer to join a fully remote team focused on NHS projects. The role requires proven experience in service design, specifically in compliance with GDS standards. Offering an immediate start, this contract runs until March 2026 with a rate of £472 per day, inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Designer working on NHS projects.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of GDS standards and ways of working.
• Experience working within UK government or public sector digital services.
• Confidence working in complex, regulated environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate end-to-end services that meet user needs and NHS objectives.
• Apply GDS Service Standard and design principles throughout discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases.
• Map user journeys, service blueprints, and ecosystems across complex healthcare services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and digital teams.
• Use research and data to inform service design decisions.
• Support teams through service assessments and design assurance processes.
