Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The main responsibility of this role is to provide support to the paediatric doctors caring for newborn infants on the postnatal ward. You will undertake additional training in order to perform basic observations on neonates and assist the doctors with procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to neonatal doctors caring for all newborn infants on the postnatal ward.
  • Oversee babies requiring transitional care.
  • Work closely with Maternity Discharge Co‑ordinators to ensure timely discharge from hospital.
  • Undertake basic observations for transitional care babies.
  • Assist the medical team with any procedures.
