Job description

Location: Dummer, Basingstoke

We are looking for a New Business Sales Executive to join our team at SCG Connected. You will use outbound sales and business development techniques to develop and close new business opportunities. Utilise networking opportunities and events to proactively develop your pipeline. Identify opportunities for specialists to develop whilst you own the customer relationship and sales cycle. You will nurture footholds into new customers and then identify a full range of opportunities across the SCG product/service portfolio (land and expand), to include Hosted IP Telephony, Data Connectivity, Cyber Security, Business Mobile, Private Cloud, Network Security and Managed IT Services.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the prospective customer to understand the underlying requirement, decision criteria and the most appropriate solution from the range of SCG products and services.
  • Pro-actively self-generate sales opportunities through outbound sales/marketing activity, sales strategies and entrepreneurial initiative.
  • Accurately record and maintain records of all sales activity.
  • Work to achieve, and exceed, your monthly target and contribute towards team/business unit target.
  • Primarily target the acquisition of new customers (New Logo) and the cross sell/upsell opportunities into existing relationships.
  • Nurture close working relationships with all customers and seek to fulfil the status of a “Trusted Partner”
  • Be able to professionally articulate the financial, operational and technical benefits of each sale, negotiate contract awards, providing detailed analysis of the reasons for each contract award and/or loss to feed back to the Sales Director and our Continual Improvement Plan.
  • Embrace opportunities to drive further sales success, working in conjunction with other teams across the business.
