New Business Developer

Based in Sittingbourne, Candy Carriers Ltd provides an extensive portfolio of transport solutions to a multitude of clients in a variety of business sectors whether they be small business or internationally recognized multi national companies. The company has achieved 33 years of trading history due to a wealth of dedicated experienced staff and a foundation based on quality of service.

Operating a modern mixed fleet of maintained vehicles, our growing company wishes to welcome new business development staff to the team.

The Role
  • To promote our business and services in a professional manner
  • To seek new business from existing clients, and prospective new customers, via self-sourcing lead creation.
  • To maintain close contact with those clients on a regular basis.
  • To follow up all sales leads and supply feedback.
  • To liaise with other departments and members of staff.
  • To monitor customer accounts by using IT skills and database profiling
  • Cold calling
  • The ability to negotiate Contractual commitments
The Person
  • You should be totally focused on creating and maintaining professional relationships within the SME and corporate markets.
  • You should provide proof of a successful track record in meeting financial targets and increased profitability.
  • You should be self motivated.
  • You should be tenacious, innovative, organised and articulate.
  • You should possess first class communication and presentation skills and be able to liaise with clients within companies of varying size and commercial value.
  • You should have a flexible attitude, good timekeeping and the ability to prioritise your workflow.
  • You will require the ability to generate opportunities, negotiate, close deals and monitor progress of new business
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • The successful candidate should have an articulate calm approach and possess a motivated and innovative communication style.
