Overview

My client, a large organisation operating critical IT infrastructure, is hiring a 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to join an established operations team. This is an onsite role within a high-availability environment, supporting core network and IT services.

You will be part of a collaborative operations team responsible for maintaining service availability and resolving network and IT incidents for a diverse client base. The organisation places strong emphasis on service quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a key escalation point within the operations centre, managing incidents and service requests end-to-end.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of network and IT issues, work within defined SLAs, and communicate clearly with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of network equipment.
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers and support field engineers remotely.
  • Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools.
The Person
  • Proven experience in a NOC, service desk, or IT support environment
  • Strong IT and networking troubleshooting skills with appropriate escalation practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Networking certification (e.g. CCNA) or equivalent practical experience preferred
  • Windows operating system and server support experience
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and managing escalations
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service environments and SLA-driven support
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Eligibility to obtain security clearance
