Are you an experienced Network Engineer ready to join a leading provider of business support services across Government, Defence and Police, delivering robust digital platforms, innovative infrastructure and technical excellence.

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation, management and optimisation of network infrastructure supporting Defence Services. You will work with firewalls, switches, routers, IPS/IDS, cloud networking, and security protocols to make sure of high availability, performance and resilience.

This hybrid role will require a minimum onsite presence of 2 days a week in Gosport and the successful candidate will need to complete SC and DV clearance checks before starting in the role with us.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Deploying and maintaining network architecture.
  • Configuring and managing firewalls and network security systems.
  • Monitoring and optimising network performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and providing technical support, incident response and root-cause analysis for network faults.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver project requirements.
  • Document network configurations, maintain standards and protocols, support audits and compliance.
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience in network engineering that demonstrates proficiency in switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs.
  • Experience with network security technologies and practices.
  • Practical exposure to cloud-based networking (Azure, OCI or equivalent).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of datacentre operations and hybrid cloud networking.
