A leading healthcare organization in Newport is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Neonatal Secretarial Department. The successful candidate must possess excellent audio-typing and interpersonal skills, and have a sound understanding of medical terminology. The role is flexible and requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure. Desirable qualifications include an AMSPAR Diploma and experience in a secretarial post within the NHS. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £27,898 to £30,615 annually.
To provide a full confidential secretarial service to Consultant Neonatalogists and the team.
Carry out duties as defined by the Service Administration Manager to meet the needs of the service.
To manage and prioritise own workload and work independently to defined policies and procedures.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary to join the Neonatal Secretarial Department at Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
It is essential that the post holder is an organised and motivated individual with excellent audio-typing and interpersonal skills, plus a sound knowledge of medical terminology. The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across the departmentas required.
The successful post holder must be reliable and flexible to meet service needs and used to working in abusy and demanding environment, with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.They will be able towork on their own initiative,exercising judgement to solve any problems arising.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
