Job Summary

The Neighbourhood Team Manager provides leadership and direction to a neighbourhood team who play a key role in managing and allocating housing properties, ensuring fair and efficient lets and providing high quality tenancy management services.

The role involves overseeing operational performance, supporting colleague development and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. The role ensures alignment with organisational goals and compliance with housing regulations.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Supervise, coach, mentor and support Neighbourhood Team members.
  • To lead on delivery of services to our customers.
  • Conduct regular one to ones, performance reviews and team meetings.
  • Identify training needs and support professional development.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Provide guidance on complex tenancy and community issues.
  • Lead with strength and confidence, inspiring others through proven and outstanding leadership skills.

Strategic and Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor service delivery standards and implement improvements.
  • Analyse data and trends to inform decision making and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, gas and electrical access requirements, and safeguarding procedures.
  • To develop and maintain excellent partnership working both internally and externally to create thriving neighbourhoods.
  • The post holder will be expected to be aware of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children and report any concerns via Ongo's Safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk cases.
