A local governmental authority in Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated professional to help combat environmental crime. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, conduct investigations, and collaborate with community partners to enhance neighborhood safety. This full-time, temporary position offers 35 hours per week, with benefits including generous holiday allowance and a robust pension scheme.
The post offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in helping to stop environmental crime in the North of the city. You will be based at the Abraham Moss offices, working closely with various partners to make our Neighbourhoods safe and clean places to live and work. The role holder will be responsible for a varied caseload that will include requests for service, undertaking investigations and, where necessary, taking enforcement action. The role will also involve work around Commercial Waste Contract Inspections, requests for service, investigations and enforcement where applicable.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary for 12 months (x2)
Additional Payments: Casual Car User Allowance

A full understanding of legislation and enforcement procedures are required for this post. Excellent communication skills are essential as the role involves advising on and explaining compliance and enforcement processes to a number of audiences including residents, businesses, stakeholders, partners ensuring that information and potential solutions are communicated effectively.
