A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Contractor-Side Project Manager for a major civil engineering project in the UK. This role focuses on governance, control, and assurance within NEC4 contracts. Candidates must have proven experience in managing NEC4 contracts, strong understanding of programme logic, and the ability to coordinate between multiple teams. This is a crucial role for ensuring successful project delivery under time constraints, with significant responsibilities in risk management and planning.
We are seeking a senior Contract‑Side Project Manager to support the delivery of a major, long‑term civil engineering and infrastructure scheme. The project focuses on the remediation of a wetland and is a large, complex, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure programme involving significant earthworks, drainage, structural concrete and environmental works, delivered under NEC4.
The works extend into autumn and winter delivery periods, making programme certainty, sequencing and interface management critical to success. The scheme has a target completion date of September 2027, with an early completion incentive in place. As such, this role is heavily programme‑led and coordination‑focused, rather than traditional site management.
As the Contractor‑Side Project Manager under NEC4, you will focus on governance, control and assurance within a live contract environment. You will work closely with planning and commercial teams to manage programme risk, contractual obligations, and complex interfaces across multiple contractors and disciplines. This is not a Site Manager role; it is a senior project control and coordination role within a structured NEC4 delivery environment.
