Overview

Newcastle City Learning are looking to appoint an English teacher to support young adults in our study programme provision. Our provision is designed to support some of the most vulnerable young adults in our city. You will be joining a well established team, who strive to make a difference to the lives of young adults from across the region.

Staffing Snapshot

We have approximately 145 young people with a range of SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs) and many of our young people have education and health care plans.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic English teacher with experience of planning and delivering literacy to small groups from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. Experience of supporting young people with SEN is not essential, but it would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make a real difference to the lives of the young adults you are teaching. You will develop their confidence, support them to achieve English qualifications and improve their life chances.
