This is a national lead role supporting the delivery and performance of IPS (Individual Placement and Support) within drug and alcohol services. If you are a dynamic leader who can inspire others to make a difference for their clients using a compassionate and collaborative approach, we want to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

This national lead role will support the delivery and performance of IPS within drug and alcohol services. WithYou wants to ensure fidelity is high and at the heart of all IPS delivery. The role will also involve leading external communications for IPS growth strategy and influencing key external stakeholders.

Our IPS teams aim to increase the number of people moving into meaningful employment from our drug and alcohol support services. This is an exciting opportunity to help make a real difference to people's lives.

You will work with a dedicated team of people, building strong relationships with other agencies to deliver the comprehensive support needed by those using our services. You will lead your team, providing direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for WithYou externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go.

This is a permanent, part‑time role working 22.5 hours per week between Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm (days to be agreed). The role is home‑based and the salary for this position is £40,000 per annum pro rata.

Person Specification
Experience
  • You should have:
  • Education to degree level, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience of working as an IPS professional in a leadership role
  • Leadership experience of collaborative working and working in multi‑agency partnerships
  • Experience of staff supervision and coaching a senior team
  • Practical experience of the management of Integrated Support and Placement (IPS)
  • Experience in drug and alcohol support services, or in an equivalent social care setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish credibility and/or make a positive impact
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications
  • We are looking for someone who understands the importance of good employment, and the role it can play in the lives of those with multiple challenges and substance misuse issues. You will be confident in working with a range of stakeholders and have excellent multi‑agency and partnership working skills. You will have experience of supporting, managing and coaching staff, to achieve performance outcomes. We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with people recovering from substance misuse and/or mental health problems or a similar client group with an understanding of the principles and practices of the IPS model of supported employment.
  • The most important thing you can bring to this role is clear and inspirational leadership. You will be able to lead teams working within a complex environment and demonstrate a high level of perseverance, being committed to seeing plans through to completion within agreed timescales. We’re open to discussions with candidates working in leadership roles outside of the drug and alcohol arena – for example, in mental health or housing.
