Overview

This lovely family is looking for a full-time nanny-housekeeper to care for their baby and school-aged child. The role involves all general nanny-housekeeping duties and being an extra pair of hands for the mum, especially during evening and night routines.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full care duties for both children, including engaging them in activities and supervising their daily routines such as homework, learning, play, and bath/bedtime routines.
  • Collaborate closely with the parents to ensure the children’s overall well-being, development, and happiness.
  • Occasionally collect one child from school and safely transport them home as required.
  • Plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals for the children and the family.
  • Assist with laundry and regular bed changes for the family.
  • Carry out light housework and general tidying as needed (a weekly housekeeper is employed).
  • Run household errands when required.
  • Demonstrate experience caring for children from newborn to age 6, with the ability to build a strong and trusting relationship with the children and family.
  • Be warm, kind, fun, and engaging, while also proactive, flexible, and able to follow instructions or work on own initiative.
  • Work in partnership with the parents as part of the household team.

Details
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 3:00 pm/4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (20 to 25 hours per week).
  • Additional support from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 10:00 am approximately one week per month (when husband is travelling). Opportunity to increase hours. Ad-hoc babysitting available if desired.
  • Duties include: provide full care duties, collaborate with parents, transport when required, plan meals, assist with laundry and bed changes, light housework, run errands, work with newborn to age 6.
  • Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.
  • Salary: £15 to £18 gross per hour.
  • Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire.
