Job summary

A family in need of childcare support in the City of London is looking for an experienced caregiver to assist with nurturing and caring for twin infants. Responsibilities include shared childcare, housekeeping, and preparing meals. Successful candidates should be organized, nurturing, and have a proven background in caring for multiple young children. This role includes periods of sole charge care and requires a paediatric first aid certificate. Paid holiday is provided in line with statutory entitlement.

Job description
Overview

Nurturing care of twin babies, ensuring routines for feeding, naps, and play. Planning age-appropriate activities and outings (parks, playgroups, etc.). Supporting developmental milestones and learning through play. Preparing healthy meals/snacks for the children. Managing children's laundry, bedrooms, and play areas.

Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping Duties: General cleaning, tidying, and organisation of the home.
  • Laundry and ironing.
  • Family meal preparation and light cooking.
  • Keeping communal areas and kitchen clean and organised.
  • Running occasional errands (groceries, dry cleaning, etc.).
Role Overview

First 4 months (while mum is on leave): Shared childcare alongside mum. Heavier focus on housekeeping, family support, and helping to keep the home running smoothly.

After 4 months (when mum returns to work 5 days/week): Sole charge of the twins on three days per week. Two days per week: more housekeeping and support with lighter childcare while mum is at home.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience caring for twins or multiple young children (references required).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain).
  • Paediatric first aid certificate.
  • Confident, energetic, and capable of sole charge care for two infants.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Non-smoker.
  • Driver\'s licence desirable but not essential.
  • Joining the family on holidays as agreed to care for the twins
