A local support organization in Barry is looking for a compassionate Personal Assistant to help a woman manage personal budgeting, offer emotional support, and access the community. This part-time role involves assisting with appointments and engaging in activities like walks and drives. Flexibility in scheduling and a kind demeanor are essential. Pay is £15.25 per hour with 40p mileage. The position will require satisfactory references and a DBS check.
I’m a 42 year old woman living in Barry with my partner. I experience anxiety and depression and sometimes experience social stressors. I love listening to all kinds of music and watching soaps on the TV, I also like watching documentaries too. I like going to bingo when I can. I am an easy going person who like to have a laugh. I like going for walks for example around the Knapp and going for a quiet coffee.
I would like to employ a personal assistant who can support me and encourage me to access the community and help me manage certain aspects of personal budgeting and offer me emotional support when I am feeling low. I would also like someone to assist me with going to appointments.
6 hours per week, weekdays only, 2 x 3 hour shifts. Flexibility is essential should these days need to change.
£15.25 per hour. 40p mileage when you use your car.
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part‑time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a four‑weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
