Actual salary £9,291.51 per annum

Permanent, Part Time

14.5 hours per week, typically split between Wednesday and Friday

Term time only plus one week during school holidays. You will also be required to work 1 Trust Development Day and 1 school inset day.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Ralph Allen School.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Music Technician to fulfil a number of different roles within the Music Department, including supporting the teaching and use of Music Technology at A’ level and GCSE and supporting students recording audio for A level Music Technology coursework.

We are looking for a reliable, punctual, flexible individual with a Music/Music Technology, or other relevant Level 3/A Level qualification. A willingness to work with and manage the “tech crew” – a small group of students who are interested in developing their interests and expertise in live sound for performance is important.

Please note that the Music Technician is required to be available on the evenings of the 10th, 11th and 12th February 2026 to support our school production.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all musical instruments and equipment and providing technical support, for concerts, performances and events (some of these will involve evening work). They will need a good working technical knowledge of a range of sound and recording equipment as well as techniques and knowledge of music technology and its application including the use of Logic PRO X.
