Are you a creative and enthusiastic Music Teacher looking to share your passion in a meaningful and rewarding setting? We are proud to be supporting a specialist SEN school in South Croydon that is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to join their vibrant, inclusive community from October / November 2025.

We are partnering with a wonderful school that caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Many pupils also present with speech and language challenges and sensory processing needs. The school is known for its nurturing, child-centred approach and its commitment to developing each learner's communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • As the Music Teacher, you will play a key role in enriching the curriculum by delivering engaging, multi-sensory music lessons tailored to each student's abilities and interests.
  • The school values creativity and emotional expression, and music plays a central role in helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and a sense of joy.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching music in a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Knowledge or experience of working with pupils with MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD
  • An ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons using a multi-sensory approach
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
