You will perform various property repairs, mainly in occupied homes, and report to the Kings Langley office daily. A full UK driving license is essential, and you should have your own tools. Multi-Trade Operative - Social Housing Repairs

Our client is a well-established, family-owned business specialising in reactive repairs and maintenance for local authorities and housing associations. Renowned for excellent staff retention, they take pride in providing a supportive and long-standing working environment.

Location: Watford & Hemel Hempstead areas

The Role
The role involves carrying out a variety of property repairs and maintenance works within social housing. The work is primarily in occupied properties with occasional work in void properties. Each day you will report to the Kings Langley office where you will be assigned a job for the day in the Watford or Hemel Hempstead area; you are paid for the shift regardless of whether the work is finished early.

Responsibilities
  • Basic Carpentry (e.g., skirting, architraves)
  • Basic plumbing (e.g., fitting taps, sinks, toilets)
  • Patch plastering
  • Basic painting and decorating
Requirements
  • Full manual UK driving licence (essential - automatic licences not accepted)
  • Own tools, including a good range of hand and cordless power tools
  • Previous experience in social housing is desirable but not essential
  • CSCS card preferred
