Overview

Job title: Multi Skills Tutor

Location: North Kent  Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) Start Date: ASAP

What you'll be doing

As a Construction Tutor, you'll deliver high-quality, hands-on training to small groups of learners—typically no more than 8 per group. You'll help them build confidence, complete vocational qualifications, and develop the skills they need to progress into further training, apprenticeships, or employment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging construction lessons and workshops
  • Setting up and managing practical classroom/workshop environments
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing feedback and support
  • Assessing coursework and contributing to qualifications
  • Supporting students' personal and professional development
  • Working with colleagues to enhance the learning experience
Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Skilled in construction trades (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, or multi-trade)
  • Passionate about working with young people who may need additional support
  • Flexible, supportive, and team-focused
  • Qualified in English and Maths at GCSE (Grade C/4) or equivalent Level 2
  • Holding (or willing to work towards) a teaching qualification - fully funded

Previous teaching experience is welcome but not essential—if you bring the trade skills and the right attitude, we'll provide the training and support.
