Job description

Interested in supporting staff with developing practical hands‑on skills that they require to be safe and effective in their roles? Then we are very pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to join our Mandatory and Essential Skills Training team.

  • To support the planning and preparation of staff training programmes regarding statutory and mandatory training.
  • To delivery high quality training across several core subjects, including Moving and Handling, Resuscitation, and the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression.
  • To ensure that the Trust meets governmental and legislative standards in relation to mandatory training.
  • To ensure the effective use of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to delivery, record, and track learning.
  • To be present and visible to support the Trusts' staff development.
  • While we are looking for someone who has some experience of teaching or training, this role does not necessarily require a background in education as you will be working with an established team. It would suit someone with a flexible and naturally curious approach who is looking for a training and development role that directly supports delivery of healthcare services.
  • A good candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage, support, motivate and lead others to deliver high quality care. An excellent candidate will be able to demonstrate their professionalism and innovative attitude to challenges in the workplace, and a commitment to empowering others.
