Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer based in Basingstoke to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing equipment risks, updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving machinery performance.
  2. Using new equipment and technologies for maintenance, liaising with clients regarding machinery PPMs.
  3. Fault finding on all types of machinery.
  4. Supporting health and safety initiatives within the department.
  5. Providing electrical and mechanical expertise, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  6. Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safety compliance.
  7. Completing documentation in accordance with legislation and standards.
  8. Working on three-phase systems up to 440V.
  9. Maintaining motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  10. Using mobile devices to document work via the CAFM system.
  11. Planning daily tasks using email and calendar tools.
  12. Liaising with onsite services to resolve building service issues.
  13. Assuming responsibility for the department and deputising for the Shift Leader as needed.
  14. Working overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
  15. Performing ad hoc duties as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proven manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Electrical qualifications (City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition).
  • Mechanical qualifications (City and Guilds Mechanical).
  • Multiskilled capabilities.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Ability to supervise contractors and write risk/method statements and permits.
Desirable Skills:
  • Working at height qualification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • AP qualifications.
  • Experience in heavy engineering.
