Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer based in Basingstoke to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing equipment risks, updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving machinery performance.
- Using new equipment and technologies for maintenance, liaising with clients regarding machinery PPMs.
- Fault finding on all types of machinery.
- Supporting health and safety initiatives within the department.
- Providing electrical and mechanical expertise, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safety compliance.
- Completing documentation in accordance with legislation and standards.
- Working on three-phase systems up to 440V.
- Maintaining motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Using mobile devices to document work via the CAFM system.
- Planning daily tasks using email and calendar tools.
- Liaising with onsite services to resolve building service issues.
- Assuming responsibility for the department and deputising for the Shift Leader as needed.
- Working overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Performing ad hoc duties as necessary.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Proven manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Electrical qualifications (City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition).
- Mechanical qualifications (City and Guilds Mechanical).
- Multiskilled capabilities.
- Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Fault finding skills.
- PLC diagnostics and repair skills.
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk/method statements and permits.
Desirable Skills:
- Working at height qualification.
- IPAF certification.
- AP qualifications.
- Experience in heavy engineering.
