An industry-leading company in Kettering is looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will provide support for machine issues, collaborate with managers, and ensure high safety standards. Strong qualifications in engineering and a proactive attitude are essential for this role offering a salary range of £45K - £50K.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years engineering experience in production environments.
  • Level 3 diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • IOSH training is desirable.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
  • Experience in a printing or mailing environment is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line support for machine issues to ensure quick recovery.
  • Solve problems effectively and see issues through to completion.
  • Collaborate with production managers on work order priorities.
  • Serve on the health & safety committee to uphold safety standards.
  • Lead projects from concept to completion with essential technical support.
  • Assist in developing and delivering the PAC plan to improve factory efficiency.
  • Manage spare parts orders and stock in the stores.

Overview

ROLE: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
LOCATION: Kettering
HOURS OF WORK: Days (4 days per week)
BASIC SALARY: £45K - £50K

We are working with an industry-leading company based in Kettering. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • You will be the first line support for any machine issues. Ensuring that machines are back up and running quickly and safely.
  • Be an expert problem solver seeing issues through until a full solution is found.
  • Work closely with production managers to ensure all work orders are complete in priority order and to provide solutions to help improve performance.
  • Become a member of the health & safety committee to ensure the site has the highest safety standards.
  • To assist or lead projects from concept through to completion, providing essential technical support to ensure the projects are a success.
  • To assist the Engineering & facilities manager in developing and delivering the PAC plan across the site to improve the overall factory efficiency.
  • Ordering spare parts and stock managing the stores.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 4 years engineering in production environments.
  • Level 3 diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • IOSH training desirable.
  • Basics in Electrical training.
  • Has worked within a printing or mailing environment.
  • Self-motivated, solution driven individual with a right first time and can-do attitude.
  • Ambition to take on more responsibilities.
