Qualifications

  • Good mechanical working knowledge with some electrical experience.
  • Qualified and time served in a similar position, ideally NVQ level 3.
  • Apprentice trained with understanding of the 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience in reactive and planned maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process.
  • Eliminate downtime through fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct reactive engineering activities on site.

Overview

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Marshalls PLC, Eaglescliffe. Full time position on a continental shift pattern (06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00), 4 on 4 off, days & nights.

We are the UK's leading hard landscaping manufacturer, supplying natural stone and concrete products to the construction, home improvement and landscape markets. Marshalls is a Superbrand, FTSE 250, and has a long history dating back to the 1890s.

Responsibilities

As part of the maintenance team, you will ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment. This includes reactive engineering activities on site.

Key qualifications and skills
  • Good mechanical working knowledge with some electrical experience
  • Qualified and time served in a similar position, ideally NVQ level 3
  • Apprentice trained with understanding of the 18th edition wiring regulations
  • PLC fault finding skills would be advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining would be advantageous
  • Experience in reactive and planned maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors, etc.), and ability to read technical drawings
