Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team based in Leicester.

The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance to both Plant, Equipment and Building Services.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving machinery performance.
  2. Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, liaising with the client on machinery PPM requests.
  3. Fault finding on all types of Machinery.
  4. Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
  5. Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise, working on Heavy Industrial Machines and Overhead Cranes.
  6. Write and follow Risk Assessments, ensuring safe and accurate execution.
  7. Complete documentation in accordance with all rules and legislation.
  8. Work on Three Phase Systems with Voltages up to 440V.
  9. Work on Motors, Gearboxes, Valves, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical Systems.
  10. Use Mobile Devices to project and complete works via the CAFM Maintenance System.
  11. Plan daily work requirements using email and calendars for efficiency.
  12. Liaise with onsite Site Services to manage Building Services issues.
  13. Act as the responsible person for the department when required and deputize the Shift Leader during leave or sickness.
  14. Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
  15. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A Recognized or Time Served Apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Electrical Qualifications: City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition or equivalent.
  • Mechanical Qualifications: City and Guilds Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Strong multi-skilled ability.
  • Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience.
  • Fault finding ability.
  • PLC Diagnostics/Repair skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Supervisory experience with contractors.
  • Ability to write Risk and Method Statements.
  • Understanding of Permit systems.
Desirable Skills:
  • Working at Height Qualification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • AP Qualifications.
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering.
