Job description

We are looking to increase our Engineering Team at our wet wipes site in Bridgwater This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide array of Process, Converting and Packaging equipment in a Double Day based role in the heart of Bridgwater.

We are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.

This is a two shift engineering position 6am-2:15pm and 2pm-10:15pm Monday-Friday.

The role will include 1 Saturday Shift (
7.5hrs) per Calendar Month at
1.5 times hourly overtime rate The position will require a proactive, can do attitude.

Duties include: Plan and carry out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on site Resolving Day to Day Issues Stock Management and Sourcing of Spare Parts as Required Continuous Improvement on Existing and New Equipment Basic DIY Tasks as Required Experience/ Qualifications: A qualified and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with experience in the Converting and Packaging, FMCG Industry Good engineering disciplines and controls and a good knowledge of engineering, health and safety standards, legislation and regulations.

  • HNC / NVQ Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage Good communication skills.

Ability to make decisions using own initiative.

Ability to fault find and read drawings, Electrical (PLC’s) and Mechanical (Pneumatics) Excellent problem solver who is proactive in recommending and implementing actions to solve issues and improve ways of working.
