Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Centre for Sustainable Delivery’s Modernising Patient Pathways Programme (MPPP) on a fixed term/secondment basis for 12 months to provide maternity cover.

This role will provide the post holder with a unique opportunity to support improvements and recovery of waiting times in planned care at a national level as part of the Centre for Sustainable Delivery’s Modernising Patient Pathways Programme. This role will support the implementation of a range of activities designed to support Health Boards, identify best practice, deliver redesign and embed sustainable improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a wide range of partners and stakeholders at national and territorial Health Boards to apply strong project management skills and communicate a clear vision for change.
  • Support improvements and recovery of waiting times in planned care at a national level by implementing activities to support Health Boards, identify best practice, deliver redesign and embed sustainable improvements.
  • Engage in leading, managing, developing and implementing national improvement projects to deliver measurable improvements in care across Scotland.
  • Secure clinical and operational engagement and drive safe, effective, and person-centred improvements in care on a Once for Scotland basis.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines, and respond to changing priorities within a political context.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrable in-depth understanding of project management and improvement methodologies with practical application.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to secure engagement and drive change.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior clinical leaders and a national team within the Centre for Sustainable Delivery.
  • Flexible, motivated, and able to lead and manage complex projects at a national level.
