Job summary

A specialist training recruitment agency is seeking a Motor Vehicle Trainer Assessor to mentor and assess learners towards Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Mechanic and hold a recognised Assessor award. Applicants must possess excellent communication and organisational skills and be flexible with travel. This role offers a full-time, permanent position.

• Organise documentation on learners' progress.
• Support and motivate learners.
• Adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.
• Meet Assessor KPIs for visits and paperwork.

Essential Criteria (for all candidates)

• Must hold a recognised Assessor award : D32 / 33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years' solid, occupational competency as Vehicle Mechanic.
• Hold a recognised qualification in Vehicle Mechanics at Level 3 or above.
• An understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel.

Duties

• Assess / mentor learners working towards Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Standards to Level 3.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
