Qualifications

  • Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification desirable.
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Travelling within designated area with a fully equipped van.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
  • Carrying out engine work and diagnostic investigations.
  • Conducting hydraulics and pneumatics work.
  • Performing electrical and wiring inspections and corrections.

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter/Mechanic/Technician living in the Blackburn area looking for a Field Service mobile role?

Monday to Friday role. Day shifts

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000

Role

The Field Service Engineer travels within a designated area with a fully equipped van, working on a variety of specialised vehicles which could include cargo and ground support equipment, industrial type tractors and tugs/shunters. It could also involve working at airports, seaports, main dealers, manufacturing sites or military installations.

Responsibilities
  • Travelling within a designated area with a fully equipped van to service a variety of specialised vehicles and sites.
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Breakdowns
  • Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
  • Engine work and diagnostic investigations
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Requirements
  • Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence but not essential.
Location & Hours

Location: Blackburn and surrounding areas

Day shift: Monday to Friday

48 hours per week, Permanent, full time position
