Job summary

A leading environmental services provider is seeking a dedicated individual to operate and maintain plant machinery at Gillmoss Transfer Station. This role involves driving various mobile and static plants, performing maintenance, and ensuring operational safety. Candidates should possess a good knowledge of health & safety protocols and a full UK driving license. Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety required.
  • Previous experience in operational manual handling is essential.
  • Must hold a valid Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate all Mobile and Static Plant.
  • Undertake routine maintenance of the equipment.
  • Clean the plant and machinery.
  • Complete paperwork for daily checks and production.
  • Perform traffic marshalling duties for site safety.

Skills

Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling role
Full UK driving licence
Yellow plant licence experience
Wheeled loading shovel preferred

Salary - £29,142.36 plus:
Contractual overtime

A weekly loading out bonus of £141.36

A scrap bonus

Causal overtime when needed

Basic hours - 37 per week, start time 7.45am. Rolling rota including weekends - to be discussed at interview.

Location - Gillmoss Transfer Station, Fazakerley, Merseyside, L10 5HA

What will you be doing?
  • Driving and operating all Mobile and Static Plant including a loading shovel to load materials into containers.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance of the equipment.
  • Cleaning the plant and machinery.
  • Completing paperwork relating to daily checks, cleaning schedules, machine checks and production.
  • Perform appropriate traffic marshalling duties to ensure safe entry and egress to/from the operational tipping areas of the site.
What are we looking for?
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling role
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Yellow plant licence experience
  • Wheeled loading shovel preferred

This role involves physical duties and working outdoors in all weather conditions
