Responsibilities

  • Perform PPM on a wide range of HVAC assets.

  • Maintain detailed asset registers and service logs.

Overview

Mobile HVAC Engineer, Facilities Management Provider - Central London Portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of HVAC assets including VRF/VRV systems, chilled water systems, AHUs, FCUs, split systems, and BMS-integrated controls.
  • Conduct reactive fault diagnostics using advanced tools (e.g., Fluke meters, refrigerant analyzers, and thermal imaging) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Adjust and calibrate building management systems (BMS) such as Trend, Siemens, or Honeywell to optimize energy performance and occupant comfort.
  • Ensure all works comply with SFG20 standards, CIBSE guidelines, and F-Gas regulations.
  • Maintain detailed asset registers, service logs, and technical reports for client audits and statutory compliance.
  • Support HVAC condition surveys and lifecycle planning for capital replacement projects.
  • Provide HVAC support for data rooms, secure archives, and climate-sensitive zones, ensuring temperature and humidity thresholds are maintained within strict tolerances.
  • Participate in emergency response protocols for HVAC failures impacting business continuity or security operations.
  • Liaise directly with estate managers, client representatives, and third-party contractors to coordinate works and ensure minimal disruption to estate operations.
  • Deliver technical briefings and recommendations for system upgrades, energy-saving initiatives, and compliance improvements.
  • Cover multiple high-value properties across Mayfair, Belgravia, and Knightsbridge, managing HVAC assets in both modern and heritage buildings.
  • Utilize CMMS platforms (e.g., Concept Evolution, Maximo) for job tracking, asset history, and performance analytics.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in HVAC or equivalent
  • F-Gas Category 1 certified
  • PASMA, IPAF, and Working at Height trained
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC control logic, refrigeration cycles, and airflow balancing
  • Experience with energy efficiency audits and carbon reduction strategies
