Job description

Salary: £34,000 plus overtime and benefits

Department: Facilities Management / - Retails contract

Location: DA postcode area

Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Contract Duration: Permanent

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high-profile clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
  • Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with current regulations and contract specifications.
  • Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
  • Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
  • Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point-of-work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
  • Deal with a variety of clients daily. You will represent the company and be courteous and professional in your dealings at all times.
  • Provide a call-out response across all contracts.

Skills and experience

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

Essential
  • A relevant qualification in your trade to C&G or NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to reactive and remedial maintenance.
  • General wide knowledge of building systems in relation to reactive tasks encompassing fabric tasks including carpentry, wet trade tasks, minor plumbing tasks, tiling, and ground works.
  • Current Full UK Driver's License.
Desirable
  • FDIS or equivalent Fire Door qualification.
  • Fire Compartmentation experience.
  • IOSH - Working Safely or CSCS Card.
  • IT skills - the use of PDAs.
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA).
  • CSR/CSCS H&S qualification
