Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its London Fire Mobile team. You will handle fault diagnostics, installations, and maintenance of electrical fixtures, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate has qualifications in electrical installations and maintenance, including City & Guilds certifications. Job description

LOCATIONS : London Fire Mobile, Heathrow office

SHIFT PATTERN : Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
  • You will be utilising your core skills as an Electrical engineer, reactive fault diagnostics and installations associated to this company's core activities.
  • Co-operation with contracts staff were necessary to achieve our employer's acceptance in line with agreed contract terms.
  • Produce all documentation as dictated by workload, i.e. Technical reports and reject reports for failures of components or plant.
  • Responsible for own Health & Safety on site and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments as standard on all sites, highlighting specific requirements as required.
  • Assist as necessary, with scope of abilities; with service, maintenance and warranty work should commissioning workload become sporadic.
  • Where possible assist with electrical test and inspection PPM across the 54 fire stations.
  • Conduct generator load testing regime and provide in-house training to the ABM engineers.
  • Repair electrical fixtures and fittings and compile the correct NICEIC certification.
  • Assist with the completion of standard maintenance and repair within the Mechanical, Electrical & Building Fabric trades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completing a weekly time sheet correctly and submitting it to your line manager
  • Submitting Expenses weekly with all supporting receipts
  • Completing all necessary paperwork for the customer whilst on site and obtaining a customer's signature to enable the job attended to be invoiced without any delays.
  • Completing engineer's worksheet in full, giving full details of plant that requires additional work.
  • Completing the Minor Works and Installation Certificates on completion of any electrical installations or alterations.
  • Identifying lifecycle replacement requirements.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Planned maintenance competence to SFG 20
  • City & Guilds 236 / 0 & 2330 Electrical Installation / Maintenance or equivalent
  • 18th Edition IEE
  • Emergency lighting fundamentals unit 1 & 2.
  • Generator Load testing
  • IPAF, PASMA
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
  • Fabric experience in one or all of these - Tiling, carpentry, painting and plastering
  • Trade qualifications (Plumbing, Mechanical or Electrical equivalent)
  • L8 Awareness
