Job description
Mobile Industrial Cleaner

Blue Arrow are recruiting for Mobile Industrial Cleaners to clean a chain of pubs across Sheffield and the South Yorkshire area. The client will provide you with a company vehicle and fuel card.

Candidates must be flexible to work a mixture of Monday‑Friday day shifts and Monday‑Thursday night shifts. Minimum of 40 hours a week, however this can sometimes increase. You will be paid for your travelling time; a standard shift is approximately 5 hours working and 3 hours travelling, varying with the site.

The start time each night is approximately 9pm when you start to travel to the site. This role can involve working away from home depending on the site location. You will be paid an additional £25 per shift if you are working away from home. The pay rate will be £14.50 per hour, Temporary to Permanent.

Main purpose of role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role holder will provide front‑line support carrying out all specialist and industrial cleaning tasks across our leisure clients. The position suits an organised, physically fit individual with an eye for detail, ensuring duties are carried out to a high standard whilst adhering to defined procedures and H&S regulations.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Delivering a first‑class service to our clients in hospitality, retail and leisure by ensuring all deep cleaning duties are carried out to the highest standard and in line with Company and Client procedures.
  • Demonstrating company values in all aspects of work and communication.
  • Build your knowledge of the designated cleaning area, the work schedule and cleaning equipment and chemicals, following H&S requirements.
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning (using truck‑mounted or portable systems).
  • Jet washing, window cleaning.
  • Other industrial cleaning duties where required.
  • Maintain and store allocated equipment and ensure appropriate, well‑maintained, serviced equipment is used.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicle, keeping van clean and tidy.
  • Adhere to H&S regulations, legislation, and company/client policies and procedures.
  • Operate CAFM platform (mobile device) to support and evidence job completions, provide images, completion notes.
  • Attend scheduled or ad‑hoc meetings as directed by service management.
  • Actively encourage and promote team spirit and development.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of the role.
  • Complete relevant training as determined by service management.
