Royal Mail P&FS is now recruiting for Mobile Cleaning Operatives covering Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

As a mobile commercial cleaning operative you will be responsible for several locations in and around the Edinburgh postcode area, covering annual leave, absences and other variations. You will perform a variety of tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins and dusting, and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard. You will be working from 08:30 to 14:45 either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site to maintain high standards of service for our customers.

You will be required to operate a variety of cleaning equipment. Full training will be provided. This role is physically challenging and involves manual handling activities.

Licensing

• You will need a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points due to the nature of the role and distances between locations.
• Royal Mail provides a work vehicle (van) and pays for fuel expenses between sites.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. You should be naturally friendly with good written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with customers and managers while complying with Health & Safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You should be able to work on your own initiative and organise your own time, as you will be managed remotely.
