Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking Permanent Welders for a rail client in Wolverton. You will perform corrosion removal and need to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Candidates must be able to MIG weld to a strong standard, pass a rail industry medical and drug test, and have a Level 2 qualification in welding. A weld test is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Ability to MIG weld to a strong standard.
• Ability to pass a rail industry standard medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Own mask and gauntlets required.
• Weld test will be required prior to start.

Overview

TXM Recruit are currently looking to put a team of Permanent Welders together for a rail client in Milton Keynes. The team will be performing corrosion removal on various fleets of rolling stock vehicles; you will need to be able to weld in the following positions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions on thicknesses between 4mm and 8mm.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Be able to MIG weld to a strong standard.
• Be able to pass a rail industry standard medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in welding/fabrication.
• Have own mask and gauntlets.
• A weld test will be required prior to start dates being offered, as well as pass a rail standard medical and drugs & alcohol.
