Overview

Claimont Health is supporting a female client who has moved into the community. She will be living independently in her own home with Live-in support. The client is diagnosed with OCD and the successful applicant will be proactive and promote independence, maintaining a recovery focussed mindset. They will support with daily activities, engagement, appointments. Our aim is to empower our client within the restrictions that are in place. There is a need to provide support with routine and structure, but with a flexible approach dependent on clients wishes. There is an expectation to transport the client. We are looking for high quality, dynamic and experienced Mental Health Support Workers. You will be working in a small team on a 1:1 basis with the client and will be supported by a Mental Health Nurse who will provide oversight and clinical leadership.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Be a female driver with own transport
  • Have at least 2 years' experience within mental health settings
  • Have experience working with people suffering with OCD
  • Be willing to undertake company training specific for this client
  • Be resilient and proactive
  • Have experience of lone working
  • Encourage and promote independence
  • Monitor the client's mental and physical health and environment, escalating and reporting appropriately within the MDT, following policies and procedures
  • Have a level of physical fitness that can support the client's activities
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments, using initiative and compassion to support daily living
  • Use initiative to react to fluctuating levels of ability and capacity
  • Support client into their local community and with local activities
  • Ensure a quality level of clinical record keeping is maintained, including incident reporting and compliance with data protection
