A Vacancy at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.

Secondment / Fixed Term

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Mental Health Liaison Service which works out of three acute hospitals in Coventry, Nuneaton and Warwick.

We have secured funding for a maternity secondment Band 6 clinician to join our multidisciplinary team.

We would particularly like to hear only from Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with a background in Adult Mental Health / Learning Disability and/or Older Adults Mental Health.

For more information on this role please see the attached support information. This will give you a better overview of the job role and requirements.

We are seeking skilled, motivated, and compassionate practitioners to cover maternity leave and support our expanding service. This role offers the chance to provide high‑quality care to people attending A&E or receiving care in a general hospital.

Experience is required in working with a wide range of mental health conditions, including self‑harm, mental health crises, or age‑related mental disorders.

Join us to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience in a supportive, dynamic team.

Successful candidates will join our well‑established and supportive team of experienced Nurse practitioners, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Support Workers and a Clinical Trainer to support new staff joining the team.

The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and Outstanding for care and compassion, of which we are rightly proud. We have also been recognised both locally and nationally by receiving awards for the services we provide.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults across many sites in Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services; we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.

We are looking for practitioners with professional registration in mental health nursing, social work or allied health professionals. You will need a demonstrable level of clinical experience, excellent communication skills and be a good team player. You must be passionate and committed to delivering a service to a high standard, as well as being able to work in partnership with other teams and services including the Acute Trust hospitals.

MHLT works 365 days a year and offers a 24‑hour service to the Acute Trust hospitals. The Band 6 posts will require flexibility that reflects the service: you will need to work shifts, including weekends and nights, across three sites.
