Are you interested in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues? Do you want to build experience working with Complex Needs and work alongside trained therapists, counsellors and psychologists?

Our specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs, based in Bracknell, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support the academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour of students aged 8‑18. The role is full‑time, starting ASAP or in September 2023.

The school employs a therapeutic approach and will offer a range of training. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology or a related field are also desirable.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work alongside therapists and psychologists on‑site, be mentored, shadow sessions and learn from them. It delivers invaluable experience with Special Needs and Mental Health issues and is ideal for an aspiring educational or occupational psychologist, therapeutic support worker or SEN teacher.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring and resilient.

Location: Bracknell
Salary: £85‑£100 per day
Hours: Full‑time, Mon‑Fri 8.30am to 3.30pm
